3. Nov 2020 : Survey on the Hafnarfjörður Library's website

The town of Hafnarfjörður is currently working on a new website for the Hafnarfjörður Library. Residents and friends of Hafnarfjörður are encouraged to take part in a short survey on the web. 


3. Nov 2020 : Swimming pools and museums still closed

Stricter rules due to COVID-19 which took effect in the end of October, included e.g. closure of swimming pools and museums. The validity period is now until 17 November or until further noticed.


2. Nov 2020 : COVID-19: Restrictions applying in schools as from November 3

A new regulation from the Minister of Health laying down restrictions in schools and universities as part of the response to the COVID-19 pandemic takes effect as from 3 November 2020. The aim is to interfere as little as possible with educational work, and that activities in pre-schools and the early years of compulsory schooling should proceed in full. In accordance with the recommendations of the Chief Epidemiologist, the rules on wearing face masks will be changed so that they do not apply to children born in or after 2011.
